Why?

It is beyond me why someone would put paneling over drywall and paint it purple. I am glad they at least painted it white before we bought the house.

    I do not think I can answer the "Why" question...but I do have a few of my own:

    Was this masterpiece inside???
    What color of purple?
    In a bedroom or common area?
    Is it showing through because of shoddy workmanship or your renovating?

    And why don't you have a picture of it for us??!?!

    It is in the family room. I was replacing an outlet cover.
