Meet Peter

One of Peter's only requests was a fish for his birthday. A real, live, swimming, breathing fish.
So that's what we got him. Thanks to a friend for all the supplies (including tank, rocks, food, water conditioner, etc.) it was a doable option. All we bought was the beta.

When he woke up on his birthday and came downstairs to see it on the table he was THRILLED!

Me: He is your fish so you get to name him any name you want. What do you think he should be named?
Peter: (no hesitation) Peter!
Me: You want to name your fish Peter?
Peter: yes, Peter!
Me: okay, Peter the fish it is!

Hi Peter, and Peter.

Peter the boy isn't the only one who loves Peter the fish.

I wasn't too thrilled about buying a beta because I think they're incredibly boring but luckily Peter the fish has been entertaining enough. Here's to a long and healthy life for Peter (and Peter)!
