I had this giant Costco-sized cereal box that I knew needed to be used in an art project.
So we (I) turned it upside down, cut a slit, then covered it in construction paper.
Our really fancy mailbox. By the way, I turned it upside down so that once we filled the mailbox with letters, we could open up the bottom and do it again.
I used scraps of paper, old junk mail, painted cardboard we had lying around, etc. We put stickers on for stamps and addressed some to Grandmas and Grandpa.
I didn't get a picture of it in use, but the boys had a blast for quite a while, sticking letters in, emptying it out, and repeating.

This is a very good idea! (By the way- I "borrow" quite a few of your ideas! They are great!)
